Ibu Rai Bar & Restaurant in Ubud

Very nice prices and the food was amazing. I had duck in a curry and I must admit it was delicious. The drinks with orange juice, basil and club soda were refreshing!

Great food and atmosphere! Only thing I would say is get the drinks out before the food... can also make some more cash by selling more drink during the meal too

What we heard was correct - great local food at reasonable prices. Service was fast and friendly. It was quite busy when we went at 7pm but we managed to get a table at the front with views of the street, tree next door with lanterns and the beautiful archway which seemed very popular for photos.

Food is amazing! I ordered the chicken breast ,pasta and vegetables and it was cooked so well! My husband ordered the margarita pizza and there was no grease! Absolutely wonderful ! Lava cake is small but worth sharing. Definitely would recommend if you are in Ubud. (No wait if you go during lunch time)

Incredible ambiance and even cuter at night when the lights come on. Sit by loser to the street. Delicious food. The chicken satay with peanut sauce was super tender. The chicken and rice was also great. This is a solid spot for sure. Good for any size group.

My Mrs and I stopped here just randomly. But the food we were treated to was a pure delight. I went with a completely unknown ( to me ) Indonesian dish while my wife went with steak and we both enjoyed our shared dishes hugely.Added bonus was learning the history of the restaurant and the determination of a widow raising 4 young children in a country with little government support for such.Inspiring stuff. So if you're ever in the area? I can't recommend this restaurant enough.Happy dining.

Food taste was good but staff service disappointed. There are thousands of restaurant with good food and nice staff in Ubud. Better find another restaurant.

My favourite restaurant in Ubud. I celebrated my 40th birthday here. After dinner the team dimmed the lights and came out singing Happy Birthday with a delicious dessert on the house.

A welcome meal during the day. The staff was polite, attentive but a little uninspired. I tried one of the local dishes. Was very good. Love the backstory of the space.

Wow! What a great find! Delicious food with fresh ingredients at a reasonable price! The beef tenderloin was my favourite - cooked perfectly and paired with a delicious sauce! The avocado seafood salad was also quite good and the chicken Gordon bleu was decent. Great cocktails for good value and a nice atmosphere here too with candle lights and frontage open to the street. We would definitely come back here!

Avoid the seafood here!! This is a really lovely looking restaurant with delicious food that is well presented. However, my friend contracted food poisoning from their seafood laksa. I was fine with the vegetarian food.

Very good, inexpensive, the Balinese wine isn't to be recommended though...

Nice view from restaurant to the street, especially at night. the serve is fast, but portions in not big. I ordered Asia duck, meal was just okay for this price, so be ready to leave 30-40$ per diner for two person. Restaurant closing at 23:00, so people start leaving 15 minutes before that. They CAN NOT order a taxi for you 👎. Otherwise is nothing special

When in Ubud, Bali, this is always a go to for us, great reliable food, good menu, always lovely.

Great healthy option for lunch. I did cheat and have the calamari, but it was great!! I followed with an amazing veggie wrap made in a thin rice type paper. It was amazing!!

Great photos. Average food. The seafood was bland and the octopus had a bad smell to it. The Gado Gado was passable and the Rendang was edible. We left 50% of our food, and left rather concerned about the impact that seafood might have on us tomorrow.

Excellent restaurant. High quality food made with care. Efficient service. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in Bali, and certainly the best pizza crust I’ve had in Bali. Nice cocktail list including the superb coriander/lemongrass. Sate chicken was expertly grilled. Garden salad with watermelon was a surprise hit. The Bintang was chilled to perfection, which doesn’t say much by itself, but is clearly a brown m&m type of detail.

Really nice warung. Prices are decent and the ambience and setting is lovely. The staff are attentive without shadowing you. Good selection of local and international dishes which are both tasty (we had an Indonesian dish and a western dish). Dessert was extremely good, definitely recommend getting dessert if you come here.

Very cozy restaurant. Shade, Lots of Green in the back, nice place to relax. Not so crowded after 3pm, but you might need reservation after 5pm. Quick and smiling waiters. Food is tasty and Good looking. Medium prices.

Best Nasi Goreng I've ever had! How can something like fried rice, which is so familiar and eating so often, taste so original and amazing?! My mind is blown at the beautiful flavours! I made my friend try it as well and he was also shocked at how good it was!

The first waitress was not very nice but the second one was.The atmosphere is nice and colorful.The food was very good and full of aromatic spices (and lots of gsrlic...I love that!).All in all very good place.

With so many great warungs in the area, it is difficult for any restaurant to compete. Ibu Rai does what it does well, but cannot compete price wise. I still recommend this place, for the lovely service, good food and nice ambiance.

Ibu Rai was the first restaurant my husband and I ate at in Bali having just come from the airport and dropped off our bags. What a wonderful introduction to the cuisine with which we would fall in love! The food, service and atmosphere is wonderful, and the prices, like most of Ubud, are wonderful!

Visited it in 2017 and then again in 2019. Same old touch and taste of food. Loved it. The lava cake has its unique lemonish flavour I have tasted never before anywhere else and something that I'll remember for a long time. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and beautiful setting. The service wasn't great though as the waitresses were quite rude and in a hurry to get you out of there but the main reason you would go is for the food and I was impressed with that

Beautiful place and good location, 3 stars for this only, but unfortunately I wasn't happy about my dinner. I ordered Tom yam and there was 1 little shrimp and the rest was chicken 😒The staff never asked if I liked it or not and didn't take the plates and empty bottle away, so can't tell much about the service🤷🏼‍♀️

A really nice traditional Balinese Food restaurant! The ambiance, decorations, and service is great! While this is easily one of my favorite Balinese restaurants, I am sorry to say that I do not enjoy Balinese cuisine like I do others.😀😀😀
